Work Shop over "ROLE OF INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY IN BUSINESS ENVIRONMENT"

100% increase in membership this year. Lion Anis Iqbal Dar, Lion Ch Masood Ahmad and Lion Nadeem ul haq sponsored 16 new members this year. Lahore Crystals Lions Club is the only club of District 305 N1 who has achieved such membership growth.

Total Six Permanent Projects are being started this year.

    • Total seven committees were formed and they are going to meet every month and will report to the club office.

    Now I would like to describe briefly our club?s permanent projects.

    Permanent Projects.

    Scholarships for the Deserving Students.

    Our club members are providing funds for those needy and deserving students who can?t carry on their studies because lack of funds. We provide them proper guidance and career oriented counseling with appropriate scholarships. Any lion can refer us deserving students for this program. There is a lot of talent in our Youth, which is wasted just because they can?t afford expensive education. We request all of you to take initiative and join hands together to eliminate this curse of society.

    Let us explore the talent and groom it, which is hidden in the darkness of poverty.

    Numbers of Students received Scholarships: 17 Funds Provided: Rs 170000 So far this project is completely funded by Secretary Lion Nadeem ul haq.

    Medical Fund.

    Sir, we have formed a medical fund and running it on permanent bases.

    We provide funds to the poor and deserving people. So far our activities are these; By pass operation at Punjab Cardiology and our club spent Rs.85000. Alhamdullila this patient has recovered and enjoying a normal life. We sent a cancer patient for the cure in U.K and spent Rs.125000. Our esteemed member Lion Anees Iqal Dar played the major role and due to his positive efforts and devotion the patient has survived Thanks to all mighty Allah who is helping us and accepting our true efforts. Total Expenditures in Medical Fund: Rs 335000

    Eye Camp.

    Sir, as you know on 3rd of March we held an Eye Camp. We appreciate your and other Lion fellow?s participation. There we spent Rs 135000. That two-day camp was totally organized by our Club members and the way they devoted their time and efforts, made that event more than successful. In those two days we gave medical aid to more than five hundred persons and 25 operations in Data Darbar Eye Hospital.

    We also provided lenses and more than 150 spectacles.

    We assure you that events like this will be held on regular bases.

    Marriages of Deserving Girls.

    Sir, we provide funds for the marriages of orphan and deserving girls. We have permanently made an account where we raise funds for this purpose. In one-year duration we have spent around Rs.255000 for the marriages. Sir, our help was there when people of Choilistan were facing epidemic, and we always help when we find any body facing trouble. This is our motto and mission May Allah help us in our noble deeds.

    Wedding arrangements of a Poor Girl:--

    Total Rs. 10000 were spent on an arrangement of a deserving girl.

    Donations:-

    Two Sweing machines were donated to two needy females, total Rs.5000 were spent.

    Medical Treatment:-

    Rs. 14000 thousands were contributed on removal of a Vaginal tumor of a poor women.

    Rs. 5000 were contributed in gyene operation.

    Rs. 10000 were contributed over kidney operation of a widow.

    Core Projects

    Role of Information Technology

    We are taking some fundamental steps to in depth skill development programs, in this area and, we have planned and implemented modules, which will play the major role in common, and specially deserving person?s life. The first workshop is going to conduct on Sunday 30th September 2001 We have distributed notes over awareness of IT to the members participated in Schooling Seminar.

    Free Munawar Hospital

    Sir this is our core project and we have arranged initial funds fro that program, the planning is almost complete and qutaions of instruments and furniture and fixtures are going through strict screening process. This project will be an honor and symbol of excellence for our club.

    Inshallah soon you be invited to inaugurate this Hospital.

    Every Committee will conduct community awareness modules through workshops, literature, brochures, and other available means.

    • Step Five: Approval from the Project Committee in Director?s meeting
    • Step Six: Approval in General Meeting

      • As the president Lahore Crystal Lions Club Lion Anees Iqbal Dar is heading each committee so you are strongly recommend getting his esteemed assistance and being your Club Secretary Lion Nadeem ul haq is also providing his services in any regard.
